School for nurses in Zagreb since its founding in 1921, alongside the school principal, also had a nursing superintendent. The paper tried to reconstruct the schooling and work of Jelka Labaš Blaškovečka, the first superintendent at the School for Nurses in Zagreb. A brief review shows her work in the Daughters of Divine Charity (international congregation of Roman Catholic religious sisters), which she joined upon finishing school.
