The European Society for the History of Science (ESHS) and the History of Science Society (HSS) are pleased to announce their joint meeting in 2026. This significant event, titled “Shifting Perspectives: Plural Worlds, Contested Sciences,” will take place at the historic University of Edinburgh, Scotland, from July 13 to July 16, 2026.
This joint meeting, organized by the HSS and ESHS with the valuable support of the British Society for the History of Science (BSHS), invites scholars and researchers to contribute to a rich discourse on the evolving landscape of scientific understanding. The theme “Shifting Perspectives: Plural Worlds, Contested Sciences” encourages exploration of diverse viewpoints, the multifaceted nature of scientific knowledge, and the historical contexts in which scientific ideas have been debated and challenged.
